You can hear guest host Lon McQ's smooth voice and bright presence weekday afternoons on radio station KJLH, Los Angeles, owned by Stevie Wonder's Taxi Productions. Named one of the "30 Top DJs" in the nation by Upscale Magazine, he's been spreading the love and the music at KJLH for nearly three decades. This Vietnam Marine Corps veteran started his radio career with Armed Forces Radio and in addition to his long-time on-air work, founded his own internet radio station, McQsJazz.com three years ago.

Lon is very passionate about what he does and says “There is a large internet audience wanting to hear smooth jazz. Critics say it’s dead, I say it’s more alive than ever with some of the most talented musicians and vocalists in the business." Clearly we agree.

From time to time, Lon takes a break from broadcasting good vibes and good music and joins listeners in person by hosting the KJLH Sunday Gospel Brunch at the Reef Restaurant in Long Beach. He introduces us to it here and invites you to join him. Thanks Lon.
